🎣 Bite Report Highlights:
• Crappie & Walleye: Still consistent near structure and shallow weed lines.
• Bluegill & Largemouth: Feeding heavy in the shallows—great shoreline action.
• Smallmouth Bass: Strong activity on beds and transition areas.
• Yellow Perch: Still quiet, but that’s typical until weed growth kicks in.
• Lake Michigan Trout & Salmon: Limit bags and big fish continue to roll in.
• Inland Trout: Fly anglers are reporting good success with hatches coming on.
🍄 Morel Mushrooms: Still going strong across the region, even with some late reports further south.
🦃 Michigan Turkey Season: Almost done. Thick cover and nesting hens are keeping gobblers tight. If you’re still out there, work food sources—and bring the bug spray.
