Get ready for Independence Day festivities right here in our area! The Menominee Fourth of July Celebration kicks off at noon this Friday at Great Lakes Memorial Marina Park on First Street. Bring the whole family to enjoy children’s games, a kids’ parade, live music, delicious food, and fireworks to cap off the night. Admission is free, though tickets and wristbands will be available for kids’ carnival games. Please note, no alcohol will be served on the grounds. Live music starts with the Bad Mother Truckers playing from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by the Michigan Shivers until the fireworks begin around 9 p.m. And for the first time this year, local punk band Radio for the Pets will take the stage after the fireworks show. Crivitz will also celebrate Friday at Veteran’s Park, and Goodman is hosting a Fourth of July Street Dance at the Municipal Building. Looking ahead to Saturday, July 5th, the BDP Independence Day Celebration happens in Downtown Pembine. Wausaukee’s celebration will be at the Marinette County Fairgrounds, and you can catch a waterski show and fireworks at High Falls Boat Landing 3 in Goodman.
That’s your roundup of area Independence Day events—have a safe and happy Fourth!
