The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air
Quality Advisory for all of Wisconsin through noon today as the PM2.5 AQI is expected to reach the Unhealthy level. In the Upper Peninsula, the air quality advisory is in effect through Saturday.
Canadian wildfire smoke will continue to impact Wisconsin`s surface air quality over the next several days. Widespread Unhealthy (Red) AQI for PM2.5 is expected across Wisconsin, with NowCast AQI values in the Very Unhealthy (Purple) category possible. Conditions have improved some across northeast Wisconsin early this morning as surface visibilities have improved, but smoke is expected to filter back into the region today and tonight and linger into the weekend.
Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (Orange) to Unhealthy (Red) AQI will remain possible through the weekend.
