The City of Menominee Planning Commission has denied a request for another six-month extension on a Special Use Permit for a marijuana retail establishment at 3490 10th Street, located in the C-2 Waterfront and Central Business District.
At the January 14, 2025, meeting, the property owner told commissioners that specific items would be addressed within the original six-month period. Building Inspector Todd Ryan said those conditions had not been met.
With the permit expired, the commission had to decide whether to extend or deny it. City Manager Brett Botbyl addressed the issue before the vote.
The commission ultimately voted to deny the extension. If the owner wishes to pursue the project, they will need to submit a new application.
