The Menominee County Intermediate School District will hold developmental screenings for Michigan children from birth through age five on Friday, September 5th, and Friday, October 3rd. Screenings run from 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ISD office, 1201 41st Avenue in Menominee. Arrangements can also be made for children in the Carney–Nadeau and North Central school districts. The screenings measure a child’s progress in personal–social skills, motor abilities, communication, cognitive development, and adaptive skills. The process includes a structured test, parent or caregiver interviews, observation, and discussion of results with recommendations. Appointments are required—call 906-863-5665.
