In a press release, the Escanaba Department of Public Safety says they were dispatched to a residence in Escanaba at 7:18 a.m. Wednesday, after receiving a report of a possible stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found a victim inside the residence who was later pronounced dead at the scene. A suspect was taken into custody without incident, and police say there is no ongoing threat to the community. The suspect was taken into custody in another state, where they currently being held.
