The Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the Oconto County Public Health have confirmed five additional measles cases in Oconto County. These cases are linked to the nine cases reported earlier this month, bringing the county’s total to 14 confirmed cases. Health officials say the virus is spreading locally. DHS is working with Oconto County and neighboring health departments to track exposures and directly notify anyone who may have been in contact with the virus. At this time, officials say no public locations of concern have been identified where exposures couldn’t be traced.
