This past week, contractors finished transferring water services to the new main and installed sanitary and storm sewer laterals between Pierce Avenue and Wisconsin Street through Wells Street.

This week’s work includes:

• Early in the week: crews will continue sanitary sewer installation from Hall Avenue east toward Pierce and Wisconsin Streets. A second crew will remove the remaining old concrete sidewalk between Wells and Pierce/Wisconsin, excavate for the new roadway base, and prepare for new sidewalks.
• Mid-week: crews will install underground electrical conduit for streetlights and power pedestals.
• End of the week: curb and gutter installation is scheduled from Wells Street to Pierce/Wisconsin, along with new watermain installation beginning at Hall Avenue and moving east.

Some residents have asked if the project deadline has been extended to December. Officials say the answer is no — the completion date remains October 31st. Any changes to that timeline will be shared with the public.
