Fincantieri Marine Group says it’s in the middle of a major hiring surge—adding over 600 workers at its U.S. shipyards since February. The Italian-owned company now employs more than 2,300 skilled workers nationwide and expects to reach 2,700 by the end of the year. That includes about 400 new hires at Fincantieri Marinette Marine in Marinette and 200 at Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay. Fincantieri has put over 800 million into its U.S. operations, over half in Marinette, while rolling out new technologies like exo-skeletons, robotic tools, and digital production systems. The company is also at the center of Navy modernization efforts, building the new Constellation-class frigates, though the program has faced delays. Fincantieri says it remains committed to growing its workforce and supporting America’s maritime strength.
