The Wisconsin DNR is taking public comment on two proposed updates to state drinking water rules—chapter N-R 809. Board Order D-G-01-24 would set maximum contaminant levels—MCLs—for certain P-F-A-S chemicals, with effects noted for small businesses. Board Order D-G-02-24 makes technical corrections and adds new federal Consumer Confidence Report requirements. The goal: align state rules with federal standards under the Safe Drinking Water Act and better protect public health from PFAS in drinking water. You can comment now through Oct. 8, 2025. Email: Constantine.Tsoris@wisconsin. gov. Or mail written comments to the D-N-R in Madison—address details are on the D-N-R Proposed Permanent Administrative Rules webpage.
