Early Friday morning, fire crews from Marinette and Menominee responded to a structure fire at First Trinity Church in Marinette. Smoke and flames were visible along the roofline when firefighters arrived. Crews launched an aggressive interior attack and worked to reach the attic. Marinette personnel recalled themselves, and they requested mutual aid from the town and City of Peshtigo for additional engines and support. Firefighters remained on the scene for about two hours, handling suppression, overhaul, and rapid intervention duties.
The Marinette Fire Department thanked all assisting agencies, including the Marinette Police, the Marinette Emergency Rescue Squad, Bay Area Paramedics, WPS Gas and Electric, Val Ihde, and Marinette County Dispatch.
