An Oconto County man has been sentenced to prison for causing a deadly crash while high on heroin. 31-year-old Zackery Wimber was given 18 years in prison and 11 years of extended supervision after pleading no contest to four charges, including homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. Six other counts were dismissed. His driver’s license has also been revoked for five years. The charges stem from a September 2024 crash on Highway 32 near Mountain. Investigators say Wimber swerved into another car, killing a 51-year-old woman. Witnesses reported he was driving around 70 miles per hour. Police later found heroin and cocaine in his vehicle. Wimber admitted to using heroin and crack cocaine before the crash
