The Communities That Care Coalition is hosting a Youth Marijuana Prevention Town Hall next week, a community event focused on awareness, education, and local solutions. Karianne Lesperance, Executive Director of Prevention Services with the Menominee County ISD, says the town hall will feature a documentary screening, expert panel, and open community Q&A, all centered on youth marijuana use.
Thanks to support from the Provident Health Foundation, organizers were able to bring the event to life.
Panelists include law enforcement from Marinette and Menominee, along with representatives from Marinette County Mental Health and ADEPT, Northpoint Behavioral Health, and NWTC. Additional speakers may also be added. The discussion will focus on local trends in youth marijuana use, prevention strategies, and treatment options. This free event happens Wednesday, November 19th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bay Shore Arts Center, formerly Theatre on the Bay. Doors open at 5:30. Registration is encouraged at www.communitytalkctc.eventbrite.com
