A peaceful protest outside Menominee High School drew attention to the city’s ongoing fight over marijuana licensing and a controversial ballot initiative. Vice President and Chief Legal Counsel Nick Hanawa with Puff Cannabis says his company invested millions to open its dispensary after receiving all the required permits, only to be blocked by a citizen group called Defending Menominee.
Hannawa says Puff Cannabis has already invested more than $4 million in the project
Hannawa urged residents to vote “No” on the initiative, arguing it will only extend lawsuits and hurt local progress.
