The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office is addressing online rumors about safety concerns at the Pembine School. The department says it takes every school-related threat seriously and investigates each one thoroughly. Deputies have been working closely with the Beecher–Dunbar–Pembine School District after a report last week involving a student who allegedly made comments about self-harm and possible harm to others. Deputies responded, investigated, and took what the Sheriff’s Office calls “proper steps” to ensure the safety of students and staff. The district has also activated its own safety protocols, which will remain in place. Officials are urging families to rely on official communication from the school district or the Sheriff’s Office, not social media, and to reach out directly with any questions or concerns.
