A local author is turning farm animals into life lessons for young readers. Stephen McCann has released a new children’s book called Cecilia’s New Sweater, written for kids in the third through fifth grade range.
The story centers on Bo, a carefree sheep who overhears plans for shearing day and panics. But everything changes when he meets a young girl battling leukemia.
McCann says the goal isn’t to lecture kids, it’s to help them grow through story.
Cecilia’s New Sweater is available online through major booksellers.
