Snowfall totals are at 30 inches and more in many locations in our area after a two day blizzard.
Marinette County Highway Department crews have been working around the clock in rotating 16-hour shifts to maintain continuous operations.
While most County and State highways are now passable, driving conditions remain hazardous in many areas. Roads are still snow-covered, and drifting continues to impact visibility and lane access.
Several County Highways are currently reduced to one lane in many areas due to drifting, including:
- County Highway D (from County DD to County W)
- County Highway S
- County Highway M
Highway crews are actively working to improve conditions. Motor graders and loaders are currently focused on:
- County Highway B (from County W to the Village of Coleman)
- County Highway Q
Residents are reminded that even though conditions have improved, roads are not yet fully clear. Please be patient with crews, give them plenty of space to work, and prioritize safety if you must travel.
