Today’s Weather Kid: Ryland Solomon!

Today we welcomed Ryland Solomon, age 12, a 7th grader from Oconto Falls, to the studio as our Weather Kid, and it was clear right away that weather is more than just a hobby for him—it’s a passion!

Ryland is fascinated by weather and astronomy and dreams of becoming a meteorologist someday. He wants to learn everything there is to know about weather and has been studying books and weather patterns for several years already. We may have a future weather expert in the making!

When he’s not tracking storms or looking to the stars, Ryland also enjoys spending time fishing.

Fun fact: Ryland is the brother of last week’s Weather Kid, making this a family tradition we absolutely love!  As a special surprise, he also received tickets to a Milwaukee Brewers game!

One of the highlights of the day was Ryland getting to spend time with Kit Donaldson, Mr. Cat Country himself, talking all about what it takes to be on the radio. Ryland loved learning about broadcasting and asking questions about life behind the microphone.
