Scam calls, suspicious texts and social media messages will be in the spotlight at a free event in Marinette.
The third annual Fraud Defense program is Tuesday, October twenty-seventh, from six until seven-thirty p.m. at Bayshore Arts Center.
Stephenson National Bank and Trust’s Laura Chaltry says unexpected messages deserve a closer look.
The program includes a Wisconsin Department of Justice presentation and a panel discussion with fraud experts and law enforcement.
Chaltry says the goal is to give people steps they can take immediately.
The event is hosted by Stephenson National Bank and Trust, Integra First Federal Credit Union, and Peshtigo National Bank.
Admission is free, with no registration required. Bayshore Arts Center is the former Theatre on the Bay in Marinette.
