Spring is here—and the Northern Lights Master Gardeners are digging in with a full season of classes, events, and hands-on learning opportunities for the community.
This Wednesday, May 6th, the group is hosting a free gardening class at the Marinette Senior Center, focused on everything from gourds to cool-weather planting and soil prep.
Northern Lights Master Gardener Dolores Konrad says it’s designed to be casual, helpful—and interactive.
The class starts at 3 p.m. and includes short presentations followed by open discussion—and yes, even snacks and coffee.
Looking ahead, one of the group’s biggest events of the year is right around the corner.
That plant sale is set for May 16th, with proceeds supporting Master Gardener programs and maintenance of the Harmony Arboretum demonstration garden.
And for families—there’s something for the kids too.
The free classes will continue through October, held the first Wednesday of each month at the Marinette Senior Center.
More information can be found on the Northern Lights Master Gardeners public Facebook page.
