A Marinette County man has entered a not guilty plea in a felony case now moving through the court system. Twenty – Nine-year-old, Robert Allen Chilcote appeared by video from the Marinette County Jail for his arraignment in Marinette County.  His attorney, Hannah Fontaine, appeared in court, along with District Attorney DeShea Morrow. Chilcote is charged with one count of First-Degree Intentional Homicide in the death of Gabriella Cartagena. Authorities say Cartagena was last seen on February 4th at around 5 p.m. at Red Arrow Park in Marinette with Chilcote, who police identify as the last person known to have seen her.

The court confirmed the formal charge, filed April 29th, matches the amended criminal complaint.

The case will now move forward to a scheduling conference before Judge Peggy Miller.

Chilcote remains in custody at the Marinette County Jail.
