A multi-agency drug interdiction operation in Marinette County led to eight arrests and dozens of citations and warnings.
The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office says the operation took place Friday, May 15th, involving the county narcotics investigator and the Drug Investigation Response Team, also known as DIRT.
Authorities say 145 traffic stops were conducted across the county, with 43 K9 deployments during the operation.
Law enforcement issued 138 warnings and 26 citations. Arrests included allegations involving possession and delivery of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine and illegally obtained prescription drugs, drug paraphernalia, operating while intoxicated, and probation and parole violations.
Multiple agencies assisted in the operation, including local departments throughout northeast Wisconsin and law enforcement partners from Michigan.
