An adaptive hiking event is giving people of all abilities the chance to experience the fall colors and trails of Marinette County.

Wheel Hike Together will bring all-terrain tracked wheelchairs to Thunder Mountain Overlook Park, west of Crivitz.

Marinette County Tourism’s Autumn Timblin says several local agencies and organizations work together to make the event possible.

The equipment is available to anyone who may benefit from assistance on the trails, whether the need is connected to a physical disability, another condition or difficulty walking longer distances.

Participants receive basic training before heading onto the trails with their family or friends.

Wheel Hike Together runs Tuesday, September 29th through Sunday, October 4th.

Chair reservations are free, although visitors will need either a five-dollar daily park pass or a Marinette County annual park pass.
