A popular nighttime color run is returning to Henes Park next month, giving families a chance to light up the trails while supporting youth prevention programs.

The Healthy Youth Coalition’s Glow Color Blast will be held Saturday, October 17th.

Organizers say participants can walk or run between one and three loops, making the untimed event accessible for children, adults and families of all ability levels.

Kerrianne Lesperance with the Healthy Youth Coalition says the event offers young people a healthy, substance-free way to spend time together.

This year’s featured color is neon purple. Participants will receive a shirt, medal and headlamp, with upgraded apparel options also available.

Lesperance says the Color Blast is designed for fun—not competition.

Discounted registration is available through September 30th. The cost is 30 dollars for adults and 15 dollars for youth before prices increase by five dollars.

Proceeds support the Healthy Youth Coalition and its prevention work throughout the community.
