The M&M Children’s Museum in Menominee is making significant progress toward opening its doors next year.
Volunteer Joy Pietrich says donations have helped fund major interior improvements, including HVAC installation, drywall, electrical work and concrete flooring.
The museum will feature interactive exhibits, including a radio broadcasting studio, helicopter, ship display and hands-on science activities.
Pietrich says additional funding is needed for a suspended walking track and the second phase of electrical work.
A radiothon is scheduled for November fourth, from six until ten in the morning, with supporters encouraged to become monthly donors.
The museum hopes to hold a soft opening next year, depending on fundraising and construction progress.
